NaPoWriMo Day 7: So today, I challenge you to write about money! It could be about not having enough, having too much (a nice kind of problem to have), the smell, or feel, or sensory aspects of money. It could also just be a poem about how we decide what has value or worth.
Once I wanted to hold on to each remnant;
Keepsakes of sacred moments; Scribbled notes of adoration;
Filed in drawers long before there was a you, and after;
Only now I am able to burn it all… Ashes to the heaven sent;
For holding on is not worth the price of inflation.

Note: Originally scribbled November 10, 2014, the day before what would have been my third wedding anniversary, and two weeks after settling a difficult divorce with a fabulist.
