Come Home

Come home
When you cannot face yourself one more day
Come home
When the lights go out and you’ve nothing to gain
Come home
When you realize another lie is too hard to maintain
Come home
When you grow weary of running from your pain
Come home
When peace and happiness you can no longer feign
Come home
If you allow “the one” to get away you’re only to blame
Come home
Dare to put your feelings and struggles on display
Come home
To light the night on fire or snuggle by a slow flame
Come home
Find that the joys shared in love are never simply plain
Come home
That is, if you’ve been waiting for that “one” to stay.
