I will never really know why you were drawn to pursue me.

I mean beyond you saying I had positive energy.

I am not sure why we met except to challenge each other on everything we have learned about love, life, and time.

I am still attached to outcomes, and your “soon love” is not mine.

Perhaps I was simply again free enough to yearn.

Or perhaps now open to unlearn.

I may never know or master the way.

But I thank God for you everyday.
